    Academic Calendar

    The MRED+U program operates on the official University of Miami academic schedule. Students are expected to consult the registrar periodically for information regarding enrollment periods, university holidays, and final assessment dates.

    • University Calendar: For a comprehensive list of deadlines and important semester dates, students should refer to the official University of Miami Academic Calendar.
    • Program Specific Events: In addition to university wide dates, the MRED+U program features a schedule of site tours, the annual Real Estate Impact Conference, and specialized speaker series. Detailed dates for these events are provided directly through program coordinators and internal listservs.

    Centralized digital platforms provide students with the necessary tools to manage academic progress and financial accounts.

    • CaneLink: The primary student information system used to register for classes, view transcripts, and manage student account billing.
    • Canvas: The university learning management system for course syllabi, assignments, and digital communication with faculty.
    • Canes Central: A single point of service for questions regarding registration, financial aid, and student records.
    • U-SoA Academic Services: The Office of Academic Services within the School of Architecture provides guidance on degree requirements, course scheduling, and graduation clearance.

    Practical experience is a core component of the MRED+U curriculum. Every student is required to engage in a professional internship or practical experience during the course of the program.

    • Advisory Board Mentorship: Students are paired with members of the MRED+U Advisory Board. This network of over 60 industry leaders provides direct mentorship, case study insights, and professional networking opportunities.
    • Toppel Career Center: The university career hub offers resume development, mock interviews, and job placement services. Students can access Handshake to browse active listings from real estate firms.
    • Argus Training: The program facilitates specialized training sessions for industry standard software to ensure students are market ready upon graduation.
    • International Students: Those on F-1 visas must coordinate with International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS) to obtain Curricular Practical Training (CPT) authorization before beginning any off campus internship.

    • Camner Center for Academic Resources: Students can access peer tutoring, time management coaching, and learning disability accommodations through this central office.
    • Graduate Student Honor Code: All students are governed by the Graduate Honor Code, which establishes the ethical and professional standards expected of the university community.

    The MRED+U program encourages participation in industry conferences and events to expand professional networks. Through the support of the Advisory Board, sponsorship and travel scholarships are available for select students to attend premier events such as the ULI Fall Meeting.

    Travel Sponsorship

    Scholarships are designed to help cover coach class airfare and shared lodging for approved educational travel. Funding is awarded based on academic standing and relevance to professional goals.

  • External Scholarships

    External Scholarships

    The MRED+U program identifies various external funding opportunities provided by industry organizations to support students. These scholarships are managed by third party professional groups and require separate application processes.
