Garrett has more than 27 years of construction industry experience as an owner and manager since obtaining a BS in Building Construction from the M.E. Rinker School of Building Construction at the University of Florida. Throughout his career, he has built landmark projects throughout Florida from the Breakers Hotel to the Seagate Hotel in Delray Beach. Over the past Eighteen years as the Principal and Owner, Seagate continues to successfully manage and construct five-star commercial, hospitality and luxury residential projects in South Florida. Currently Seagate Capital Construction has a reputation of being one of the prominent builders in Palm Beach County conducting business with quality craftmanship and integrity.
Prior to his current role as a Developer / General Contractor, Garrett has held the positions with Top 100 ranked construction managers as a Project Manager and Project Engineer. Garrett worked for The Weitz Company for 7 years building high end commercial projects as a Senior Project Manager and The Witting Turner Contracting Company for two years as a Project Engineer. His vast experience includes the construction of luxury residential, commercial buildings, retail, hotels and resorts, high-end tenant build outs, and multi-phase projects. He is very familiar with working under various contracting methods, including pre-construction, construction management, general contracting, design-build, general construction services.
Most recently Garrett joined with Josh McAlees to create Seagate Capital Construction in 2021 and has expanded on the high-end luxury construction in Palm Beach Island, Jupiter Island, Flagler, Palm Beach Gardens while continuing to construct in Delray Beach. The newly formed company is positioned to take advantage of the growth in Palm Beach County for the next several years.
