Mr. Koita has developed a comprehensive skill set in development and investing throughout his 25 year career in commercial real estate with a total transaction volume of over $5 billion of direct real estate across all major asset classes and several niche asset classes including self storage, last mile logistics, charter schools, and film studios. Over the last several years Mr. Koita has led Knickpoint's expansion into the soundstage industry where he is the developer and operator of a large media campus featuring state-of-the-art film studios in Chicago.

Prior to forming Knickpoint, Mr. Koita was a Director at Fir Tree Partners where he led value add real estate private equity investments throughout the country and internationally with Fir Tree Real Estate Fund III, a fully discretionary $800 million vehicle. Prior to Fir Tree, Mr. Koita was a Director at Angelo, Gordon & Co. where he led opportunistic and core plus investments throughout the Midwest, Florida, self storage and hotels. Prior to AG, Mr. Koita was at Related Midwest where he was an integral member of the development team that completed over $1 billion of luxury condominium projects in Chicago.

Mr. Koita holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and graduated with honors from Washington University in St. Louis.
