Justin Toal is the Managing Principal and Chief Investment Officer of Fifteen Group. Justin oversees the acquisition, development, repositioning, and management of the firm’s nationwide real estate investments. Prior to joining Fifteen Group, Justin was a Managing Partner at Simmons Vedder and Castle Hill Partners, where he opened the Florida office for both firms. Justin was a founding member of Castle Hill’s debt acquisition platform and led the sourcing and acquisition of performing and non-performing real estate loans, supervising the underwriting of distressed assets, including loans, REOs, bonds, and debt portfolios.
At Simmons Vedder, he concentrated on the firm's merchant development platform, including site acquisition, pre-development feasibility, entitlement & approvals, design development, equity & debt financing, development management, and on-going asset operations. Previously, he was Vice President of Acquisitions for O’Connor Capital Partners in New York, responsible for covering major North American markets including Florida, New York, Washington D.C., Mexico City, Boston, Chicago, California, and Texas, and involved in the investment, management, and development of more than $2 billion of real estate transactions across all asset types and classes. Justin was a dual-degree Honors Graduate at Texas A&M University and received his Masters degree in Real Estate Development from Columbia University, graduating with High Pass Honors. Mr. Toal is on the Board of Directors of the University of Miami Real Estate Masters program and is a member of the Columbia University MsRED Alumni Board.
